Executive Education Symposium: Building capacity and capability for Executive Education

In today’s precarious higher education ecosystem, executive education has moved from a desirable revenue stream to a strategic imperative. Impactful and well-functioning executive education can help to keep UK business schools and their parent universities competitive and sustainable.

The Autumn 2024 Chartered ABS Executive Education Symposium brings together Directors and managers of executive education from across the UK’s business school community. In a collegiate environment, we will explore how UK business schools can better serve their client communities, parent universities and wider stakeholders through enhanced executive education capacity.

By the end of the event, participants will have:

  • Deeper insights into how to foster an agile and positive environment for Executive Education, and how to balance Executive Education's specific needs with the business school's overall objectives and operating environment.

  • Successful examples of capacity and capability building, and best practice to take away to their own institutions.

  • Practical insights into optimising existing resources in a financially constrained environment, particularly around marketing executive education programmes, collaborating with faculty and professional services, and tackling operational challenges (timetabling, facility access, etc.)

  • New perspectives on how Executive Education can contribute to universities' wider strategic goals, and how to build strong relationships outside of the business school
